Assistant Manager

Gurgaon, India

This individual will be responsible for budgeting, treasury and MIS and to ensure that the financial information, analysis and reporting is complete and accurate. This role will also require interaction and dialogue with relevant onshore Singapore counterparts, and the ability to quickly and accurately supply the demands for information.

  • Support overall GOR budgeting, treasury and MIS function
  • Liaison with the banks and Company stakeholders to ensure optimum utilisation of resources
  • Ensure accurate and timely completion of budget allocation and corresponding tracking with the actual expenses
  • Assist in monthly MIS function to the investors/management
  • Also, assist with the year-end audit process for GOR group
  • Coordinate with management on the roadmap and various upcoming projects
  • Inspire others to stretch beyond their capability and acknowledge their efforts and accomplishments
  • Empower local reports to make important decisions appropriate to their level
  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with 1-3 years post qualification experience of working in an extended (offshore-onshore) global team model
  • Exposure of working with manufacturing Company
  • Familiarity with taxes - Excise Act, Service Tax, VAT, Income Tax Act etc.
  • Sound financial concepts, knowledge of accounting principles (AS, Revised Schedule VI etc.)
  • Strong Microsoft Excel alongside good IT skills particularly Outlook, Word & PowerPoint
  • Strong verbal and written business English communication skills, experience in presenting to senior management and writing reports is beneficial
  • Prior team management experience would be preferred
  • ERP/SAP working exposure is an additional advantage
  • Ability to adapt and redirect priorities and goals in response to changes in business requirement
  • Ability to work across functions in particular with Business Finance colleagues to address issues and optimise performance
  • Capability to manage teams and provide the necessary coaching and mentoring when ever required
