Manager - Supply chain management electrical and electronics



We are looking for a talented Supply Chain & Procurement professional to support the business growth in domestic and international markets. You shall Purchase direct materials for engineering proto/Alpha/Beta build for Design /Project team/Production and ensure on-time deliveries of the materials.

You are required to analyze material requisition plan and open purchase order for the parts needed on the quantity needed therein. You are required to learn quickly and adapt to changes.


  • Understand GreyOrange's Products, Bill of Materials and associated Vendor requirements for the products
  • Obtain quote from various approved sources, negotiate, compare the price & finalize for the best price and release PO with cost analysis
  • Identifying creative ways to reduce cost by streamlining process and systems (i.e. consolidation of suppliers, MOQ Management, ABC based costing)
  • Liaising with Design, Production, Quality department and providing solutions to supplier problems and escalations
  • Adhering to all company policies with particular regard to accounting procedures. Managing material reviews in NPI and Execution phases
  • Managing EOL (end of life), LTB (last time buy), MOQ issue and supplier performance
  • Sound knowledge in Electronic Components like PCB, capacitors, transistors, resistors, etc.
  • Search for right vendors – domestic, international via physical local search as well as on internet
  • Timely preparation of MIS
  • Update the Can build report with regards to material status
  • Vendor Management - Work with vendors and technical/inspection team on Vendor sourcing, Contract negotiation & Procurement including visiting and following up with vendors, in-person or with the Inspection manager, to ensure quality delivery as per schedule
  • Review material position periodically and re-schedule delivery (Pull in / Push out materials) as required
  • Inventory Management & Parts planning - Includes forecasting & planning procurement & inventory quantity and timelines for critical parts in the product development & client delivery
    Ensure availability of materials for Engg proto/Alpha/Pre-pilot Build
  • Work with vendor to implement VMI (Vendor Managed Inventory) of their supplied parts to assure JIT deliveries
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders - Work with Installations Manager to support all Procurement and Supply chain needs during client installations
    Report to Business Unit manager and Finance team as per need, and be responsible for the product line



  • B. Tech/B.E in Electrical or Electronics / Mechanical with 7-8 years of SCM &
    Procurement experience
  • Familiarity with ERP systems like Oracle, SAP
  • Comfort with PO creation, Logistics, Import and Export
  • Familiarity with Customs Duty and EOU /STPI and GRN preparation
  • Ability and Willingness to get hands dirty and get into Operations to ensure quality, time lines &
  • Excellent Relationship Management to deal with local domestic vendors (In person, on email
    and telephone) as well as International vendors (on email and telephone)
  • Should enjoy negotiations & regular follow-ups with vendors to get work done
  • Proficiency in Hindi and English languages would be necessary to perform your job best
