Product Validation Manager

Full-time

A Product Validation Manager at Grey Orange is responsible for E2E (End to End) validation and verification coverage of a product and its component subsystems against requirements documents including certifications for applicable international standards. S/he acts as a Customer Proxy and is a key player in delivering customer delight.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead analysis, planning and execution of testing against product features through a team of senior and junior engineers
  • Develop product quality criteria for functional and nonfunctional requirements
  • Set up appropriate environment for testing and certification of international standards
  • Proactively identify deficiencies and gaps in the product at the earliest possible stage in the product lifecycle
  • Own the process for the system-level and subsystem-level V&V process including each subsystem (mechanical, electronics, embedded firmware and software)
  • Certify that sufficient verification has been executed to demonstrate that the product meets specified requirements
  • Represent validation team in internal technical forums, product development team meetings
  • Be the voice of quality in the development process and a key proponent of modern software techniques and practices like Continuous Integration, Test Driven Methodology, and high automated testing
Requirements:
  • 6+ years of experience as a Validation Manager, preferably in embedded or system software solutions, in a mass-manufactured product environment involving a combination of hardware and software
  • Ability to influence and drive results across functional, organizational, and geographic boundaries
  • Ability to define, develop and clearly articulate requirements
  • Ability to break down complex problems into simpler actionable tasks
  • Strong quality and customer orientation, engineering and analytical skills, combined with creativity and negotiation abilities
  • Strong communication skills, ability to clearly convey technical content to both engineering and business stakeholders
  • Proven track record of results and execution in a tight schedule environment
