Robotics Software Engineer-Motion Planning and Execution



As a Robotics Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building a scalable architecture to control thousands of individual robots processing millions of inventory transactions per day.


  • Participate in architectural design and implementation of a new, cutting edge, robotic manipulation system for warehouse logistics
  • Design and implement state logic for execution monitoring
  • Design and implement fast motion planning algorithms, leveraging and extending algorithms in open source systems like OMPL

Minimum Requirements and Skills:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related Engineering field
  • Minimum of three years of professional software development experience in a team environment
  • Expertise designing, implementing, and debugging multi-threaded programs in C++ in a Linux/Unix environment
  • Hands-on experience with robotics, ideally in motion planning and control
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to learn quickly

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with multi-dof kinematics and control
  • Experience with other languages such as Python, Matlab, etc
  • Familiarity with ROS, Moveit, OMPL and robotic motion planning algorithms
  • Experience with kinematic simulation and visualization environments (like RViz)
  • Experience with integrated task and motion planning
  • Experience with docker
  • Experience with Git, JIRA, and related software development project tools
